This Privacy Policy governs the collection of information by Beyond the Hairline LLC and Chat Chew and Do Empowerment Women Group (CCDEW), a Mississippi nonprofit, for the Beyond the Hairline continuing education course website at beyondthehairline.com. Beyond the Hairline LLC and CCDEW jointly operate this website. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean both entities, together with their respective officers, directors, employees, and volunteers. By using this website, you agree to this policy.
When you register for a course, we collect your name, email address, state, license or certificate number, license type, and shop or school name. Payment is processed by a secure third-party payment processor, which handles your card details directly; we do not see or store your full card number. Your registration record is stored in a secure database. Your registration also generates a unique referral code and QR image used to verify your registry referral and confirm your event check-in.
Your registration record is used to confirm your registration, process your CE credit, and check you in at the event. It is retained as our record that you registered and attended.
We use your information to process your registration, confirm your payment, issue your certificate of completion, report your CE credit to the Mississippi State Board of Cosmetology and Barbering, and manage the event.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or lease your information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
We may disclose your information only with your consent, to service providers under confidentiality, to the Mississippi State Board of Cosmetology and Barbering as required for CE credit certification, to comply with legal process, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger or reorganization of CCDEW or Beyond the Hairline LLC.
This event is photographed and may be recorded. Images or footage may be used in future Beyond the Hairline marketing or educational materials.
CCDEW and Beyond the Hairline LLC may develop future partnerships with medical and research institutions. We will obtain your separate written consent before sharing any of your information with a research partner. Registration does not enroll you in any study.
We implement reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100 percent secure. You provide your information at your own risk.
In the event of a data breach compromising your personal information, CCDEW and Beyond the Hairline LLC will notify affected individuals as required by applicable law.
You have the right to access and correct your information, to withdraw consent to future contact, and to file a complaint with a data protection authority. You may request deletion of your personal information, except for records we are required to keep for CE certification, tax, or legal recordkeeping purposes. Email mgeter@601sistas.com. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to know what information we collect, to request deletion of your personal data, and to opt out of sale. Neither CCDEW nor Beyond the Hairline LLC sells personal information. Records required for CE certification or legal recordkeeping are retained as described under Your Rights.
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have rights under GDPR including access, correction, deletion, and withdrawal of consent, subject to our need to retain CE certification and legal records. Beyond the Hairline LLC and CCDEW are joint data controllers.
This website is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If we learn we have, we will delete it.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this website. This may involve cookies. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or cross-site behavioral tracking.
All commercial emails comply with the CAN-SPAM Act. You can unsubscribe at any time by following the instructions in any email or replying with the word unsubscribe.
